GLEN — Father-son duo Dick and Richard Goff were taken by surprise several weeks ago by a call from Yankee Magazine, informing them Glen Ellis had been named the best campground in New Hampshire.

“We didn’t even know they were here,” said Dick Goff, who had purchased the 78-acre property from Bill and Betty Whitney back in the 1970s.
