To The Editor:

Recently, I wrote a letter to the editor about (the proposed) Short Term Rental Ordinance. Dee Miller has decided my concern for real data and facts isn’t a reasonable reason to not pass an ordinance. She went on to say we have over 250 short-term rentals in Bridgton. So, after many meetings and workshops we still don’t have the real number, but we need to have an ordinance. Also, Dee mentions it’s very easy to do a search to see that some of the short-term rentals advertise an occupancy larger than their septic system would allow. So why not use that data to go and approach these folks who advertise this misinformation? You don’t need an ordinance to do that.
