Two local athletes figured in the scoring in Wheaton’s 17-3 lacrosse win over Clark University.

Fryeburg Academy wrote the final chapter of the 2025-26 winter sports story at the annual Awards Night with the following athletes recognized:

Lake Region sophomore Addison Klimek had a great showing at the Western Maine Conference Championship earning 7th place in the Slalom and 5th place in the Giant Slalom.

Senior captain Collin Varney has consistently been the top finisher for the Lake Region boys’ alpine ski team this winter. This was no different for Collin at the Western Maine Conference Championships.

Lake Region senior Sam Burnham closed out his stellar indoor track and field season at the New England Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass. on Saturday, placing 33rd in the 300 meters in a school record time of 38.56 seconds!
