Few stories capture suspense quite like Stephen King’s Misery, and this October, Lake Region Community Theatre is bringing the chilling story to the stage.

Lake Region Community Theatre’s Misery, presented by Maine Community Bank, follows successful novelist Paul Sheldon after a serious car accident leaves him injured and stranded. He is rescued by Annie Wilkes, his self-proclaimed “number one fan,” and brought to her secluded home to recover. But when Annie discovers what Paul has done to her favorite character, what begins as a rescue quickly becomes a terrifying fight for survival.
