SWEDEN — The public is invited to tour the Sweden’s oldest and newest home on Friday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Built in 1805 by Col. Samuel Nevers (1766-1857), one of the town’s founders, the two-story Federal-style home has recently been lifted, moved, restored and renovated by its current owners. “The Red House” is located at 316 Bridgton Road in Sweden. Admittance is $10, and all proceeds go to the Sweden Historical Society.
