Introducing Hanna McKellar: Our 2026 Dorothy W. Sanborn Summer Intern at Rufus Porter Museum.

Rufus Porter Museum is delighted to introduce Hanna McKellar, who joins RPM this summer as the 2026 Dorothy W. Sanborn Summer Intern. Hanna is a passionate writer, historian, and experienced museum professional who brings a growing museum and collections knowledge and a deep love for Maine’s unique heritage to the RPM campus.

Hanna moved to Maine in 2019 to attend the College of the Atlantic, where she earned her degree in Human Ecology. Her studies gravitated toward regional preservation, culminating in a senior capstone project that explored a question close to our own hearts: why and how local history matters in small-town Maine.
