Former police officer faces charges of misconduct as a polygraph examiner

A former Bridgton Police Department officer and long-time sheriff deputy was arrested last Friday following an investigation into misconduct specific to his duties as a polygraph examiner.

Regan J. Goan, 51, of Raymond was charged with a series of misdemeanor crimes to include: Unsworn Falsification Class “D,” Violation of the Maine Polygraph Examiners Act Class “E” and multiple counts of Tampering with Public Records or Information Class “D.”
