Howdy neighbor!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the distinct privilege and honor of taking a ride down the old Sebago Lakes Route on the new Songo River Princess, and of sharing the history and legendry of that celebrated waterway as part of a grand Rotary club excursion down Songo River. What a fine cruise it was to renew the ancient history of Long and Sebago Lakes, of the sinuous Songo and its storied lock, and of that mythically, perennially liquor-tinged Brandy Pond; and furthermore, to do so not in the dry confines of a classroom or lecture hall but rather once again aboard a paddle-wheeler plying those lovely waters.
