GORHAM — A memorial blood drive held in honor of late New Hampshire State Police Lt. John Scarinza yielded 55 pints collected while fostering a strong sense of community in the region where Scarinza served and lived.
The April 15 blood drive was held almost a year after Scarinza’s April 22, 2023, death from cancer. The number of people gathered inside the Gorham Middle High School gym looked like a potluck dinner and reunion with all the cakes and snacks that were baked and cooked by the Scarinza family for blood donors.
