GORHAM — On a warm summer evening Aug. 5 on the town common, the Gorham Police Department sponsored its first “National Night Out.” The event, which is held nationwide every year, is designed for people to meet their first responders.
According to Corporal Karyssa Lachance, “National Night Out is a yearly event held on the first Tuesday of August throughout the nation. The goal of National Night Out is to promote police department partnerships to make neighborhoods safer. “
