CONCORD — Nansen Ski Club is seeking state permission to raise money to renovate the Big Nansen ski jump to allow future sanctioned jumps there.

Scott Halvorson of Pembroke, chairman Shawn Costello of Berlin, Phoebe Backler of Milan, and Berlin City Councilor Peter Higbee, all Friends of the Nansen Ski Jump Committee and members or supporters of the historic Nansen Ski Club, met with state Parks and Recreation Director Phil Bryce and state Bureau of Historic Sites Director Ben Wilson on Friday, Jan. 11, to formally seek permission to raise money to be able to renovate the historic state-owned ski jump located in Milan on Route 16, just north of the Berlin City line.
