TAMWORTH — New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey and Tamworth Fire/Rescue Chief Richard Colcord announce a joint investigation is underway after a floor collapsed at a wedding venue in the White Mountains community of Tamworth.

 At 4:33 p.m. Saturday, March 21, members of Tamworth Fire/Rescue were requested to respond to The Preserve at Chocorua, at 88 Philbrick Neighborhood Road in Tamworth, for reports that a floor had collapsed during a wedding. Callers reported that more than 100 people were on the floor when it collapsed into the basement, and multiple people were trapped under beams as well as farming equipment.
