BERLIN — City councilors Monday night voted in favor of keeping vehicular traffic on Main and Pleasant streets as they currently are: one-way, reversing its earlier vote to change back to a two-way pattern on Main Street the city used decades ago.

Every seat on the main floor of the city hall auditorium was full as residents clapped in support of the council’s decision. To get to that point, the council earlier in its meeting, referencing city council rules on reconsideration, took the steps needed to discuss the traffic plan choice under “new business.”
