Lawsuit seeks to stop two commercial logging

GORHAM — A federal court has ruled against a lawsuit that sought to stop two commercial logging projects on the White Mountain National Forest, including the Peabody West Integrated Resource Project in Gorham.

U.S. District Court for New Hampshire Judge Joseph N. LaPlante ruled for the U.S. Forest Service in a lawsuit filed by the environmental group, Standing Trees, challenging the Forest Service’s decision to approve the Peabody West Integrated Resource Project and the Tarleton Integrated Resource Project.
