GORHAM — Between semesters at Gorham Middle High School, the high school takes a break from traditional classes and exposes students to activities they don’t normally get to see.

Intersession focuses on “softer skills that are not usually part of the regular school curriculum” said Sarah Clemmitt a teacher at the grade 6-12 school. “We want our students to learn critical thinking skills and to learn to work with other students of varying opinions and life experience. We want to expose our students to other things happening in our community that they may not see in their normal lives,” Clemmitt said.
