RANDOLPH — A Massachusetts man was killed when his car collided nearly head-on with a tractor-trailer on Route 2 early Saturday morning.

N.H. State Police said Anthony Ortega, 23, of Framingham, Mass., was traveling east on Route 2 shortly before 3 a.m. when his car collided with a tractor-trailer traveling west driven by Mark Mellish, 50, of Bellows Falls, Vt. The accident occurred less than a mile west of the Appalachia parking lot.
