David Backler selected as SAU 20 Superintendent

David Backler

GORHAM — The SAU board, representing the towns of Errol, Milan, Dummer, Gorham, Shelburne and Randolph, concluded its effort to hire a permanent superintendent by selecting its interim superintendent David Backler in a public meeting held at the close of Tuesday evening’s nonpublic interviews on Oct. 30, according to SAU 20 chair Greg Corrigan.

"This is the end of a process that started in the spring of this year with the (early) retirement of Paul Bousquet in June," he explained. "A formal job was posted Oct. 1, and we finished the process with interviews and community meetings with two highly-qualified and capable applicants for the position."
