Irene Plante, 96, of Nashua, N.H., passed away on June 19, 2019.

She was born on March 23, 1923, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of the late Alphonse and Mary Louise (Levesque) St. Pierre.

Irene was born and raised in Berlin and at the age of 18 moved to Nashua where she was a mill girl.

Later in life, she owned an upholstery and drapery business, Pinet Upholstering, with her late husband Gerard Plante.

She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and having her cup of tea.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Gloria Plante; her siblings, Cecile Belanger, Jeanette L'Heureux, Pauline Lariviere, Yvette Routhier, Henry St. Pierre; and many nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her husbands Antonio La Pointe in 1944 and Gerard Plante in 1972; two sisters, Beatrice Belanger and Eva Roberge; and a baby sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 10, at 10 a.m. at St. John XXIII Parish, 121 Allds St., Nashua. Burial followed at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Nashua.
