LANCASTER--Employees at Northwoods Home Health & Hospice, who rack up a lot of mileage on their personal cars now have another option. They can continue to get reimbursed for their mileage or they can take advantage of their new company car program, which is now offering 2015 Subaru Foresters to be used by their employees. This is part of a pilot project developed in partnership with Enterprise Fleet Management to boost safety and efficiency, and at the same time lower operating expenses and enhance employee satisfaction and recruitment.

"During the last three years, Northwoods has been recognized as one of the top home health agencies in the United States...the only agency north of the Notch that has received that distinction," said Gail Tattan-Giampaolo, Executive Director of Northwoods Home Health & Hospice. "This recognition was realized through our high patient satisfaction scores, high patient outcomes and fiscal responsibility. Our employees are dedicated to providing high quality patient care. Teaming up with Enterprise is another way in which we can be innovative with our employee benefits, while still being mindful of our budget. As many people know, our home health and hospice staff drive a tremendous amount of miles annually. That includes over 32,000 visits and 300,000 miles per year to patients throughout the North Country. Visits are often made in the middle of cold, winter nights. Our clinicians are always there to meet the patients' needs. Making available a company car that is equipped with all-wheel drive and the latest safety features is an investment we are willing to make."
