Come learn about NH wildlife signs and tracks with Will Staats of NH Fish and Game Department. This free slide pressentation at Weeks State Park in Lancaster at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, will cover the life histories of our native wildlife with many interesting notes on the habits of wildlife. Staats will show how to identify the presence and use of an area by wildlife through interpretation of the many telltale signs that result from wildlife activity. Staats is regional wildlife biologist for NH Fish and Game. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont in wildlife biology and has experience working with forest industry in northern NH and Vermont as a forester/willdlife specialist. He worked for Vermont Fish and Wildlife for eight years focusing in bears and fish, and has worked in Maryland with Canada geese.

This program will be presented in the Great Room of the Summit Lodge at Weeks State Park and will begin at  7 p.m.. Come early and bring a picnic supper, or climb the Fire Tower for one of the best views north of the notches. Weeks State Park is located on the east side of Route 3, approximately 2 miles south of Lancaster. This free, public program is sponsored by the Weeks State Park Association, NH Division of Parks, and UNH Cooperative Extension.
