Giovanna Saladino, 91, passed away peacefully Friday, June 21, 2013. Born in Sicily, Italy, Giovanna and her son, Michael, came to the United States in 1955, aboard the Andrea Doria. Living in the North End of Boston, then moving to Medford, Mass., Giovanna worked as a seamstress with Wardrobe Makers until her retirement in 1987. Gardening was an art for Giovanna, and her tomatoes were beyond compare!
