New Hampshire’s preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December 2025 was 3.1 percent. This was an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the November rate, which remained at 3.0 percent after revision. The December 2024 seasonally adjusted rate was 2.8 percent.
Seasonally adjusted estimates for December 2025 placed the number of employed residents at 751,660, an increase of 300 from the previous month and a decrease of 1,970 from December 2024. The number of unemployed residents increased by 350 over-the-month to 23,970. This was 2,300 more unemployed than in December 2024. From November 2025 to December 2025, the total labor force increased by 650 to 775,630. This was an increase of 330 New Hampshire residents from December 2024.
