GORHAM — Top Furniture Inc. is marking its 76th year in business by holding a quitting business sale, designed to clear out what’s been described as up to $5 million in inventory. Social media was used to spread the word of Top’s closure as well as special mailed invitations for preferred customers.
This third-generation family enterprise was started by Alfred and Margaret Tourangeau in 1950 in Berlin. After several decades the family moved it to larger, more distinctive quarters on the Berlin-Gorham Road (Route 16) in Gorham.
