BERLIN — Kurt Melanson was born and raised in Berlin. He spent 16 years working at the Berlin IGA Foodliner, 10 years as a bartender at Fagin's Pub, four years working at the Berlin federal prison and currently is a Social Studies teacher at Berlin Middle High School.
Melanson received an associate's degree in management from Berlin Community Technical College, received a bachelor's degree in history from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, and most recently a master’s degree in history from Southern New Hampshire University.
