GORHAM — It’s the so-called pocketbook — or wallet — issues that often drive local elections.

Residential property taxes continue to vex residents as property values increase without corresponding rises in incomes. Commercial and industrial property valuations have not spiked as much and revenues paid to the town are more predictable. Residential property taxes continue to be a focus in the upcoming annual town election March 10.
