JACKSON — The Whitney Community Center will be hosting a program, "Why Democracy?" on Sunday from 4-5:30 p.m., featuring Dr. Josh Duclos, 1923 Chair of Humanities at St. Paul's School in Concord and the author of the book, "Wilderness, Morality and Value."

This free New Hampshire Humanities to Go program is part of a collaborative series of 10 community programs in the Celebrate Democracy — 250 Years and Beyond! series, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
