Gift certificates issued within the last four months by the Woodworkers Warehouse should be redeemed immediately, attorneys general in New York and New Hampshire urged. The company has filed for bankruptcy protection.The local Woodworkers Warehouse, located at 1820 White Mountain Highway, will honor only those gift certificates dated Aug. 5 to Dec. 15, 2003.The whole company is shutting down, repored store manager David Fida.Last week, Fida learned from the purchaser that stores in the company will stay open another six to eight weeks.Were learning things day by day, Fida said.In business for about nine years in North Conway, the local store has reduced prices on merchandise, with discounts between 10 and 30 percent. The company, based in Lynn, Mass., deemed itself the nations top seller of woodworking tools. The company began a court-ordered liquidation sale Dec. 5; the sale is scheduled to end on Jan. 31, according to The Associated Press.
