You only get one chance to make the right first impression.The Mount Washington Valley Business and Professional Women will present a program on the importance of presenting a professional image when marketing yourself to potential employers and clients. The program is Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at Flatbread Pizza at the Eastern Slope Inn in North Conway. A panel of professional women and business owners will conduct an interactive seminar on presenting a professional image and dressing for success in business.Sample outfits will be displayed, and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive various useful handouts.The program is free and open to the public. Anyone who would like to attend dinner before the program should arrive at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $12 for members of Business and Professional Women and $15 for non-members.Those planning to attend dinner should send an RSVP e-mail to Barb Clifford at lmrbarb@worldpath.net or call her at (603) 539-5599.In conjunction with this program, Business and Professional Women will be collecting donations of womens interview and work-appropriate clothing to provide to economically disadvantaged women trying to enter the workforce. If you would like to donate suitable business attire, bring only ready-to-wear, stain-free and laundered items on hangers. The mission of the Mount Washington Valley chapter of Business and Professional Women is to positively impact the lives of the women in the valley by providing a conducive environment to effectively network, mentor and support each other through referrals, recognition, scholarship awards, philanthropic activities, partnerships and linkages with other community organizations.
