CONWAY — M&D Playhouse will be holding auditions for its first show of the 2023 Season, "Becky Shaw," by Gina Gionfriddo, at Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse at 2760 White Mountain Highway in North Conway on Sunday, Nov. 20, and Monday, Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

Directed by Eric Jordan, "Becky Shaw" is a comedy of bad manners. A newlywed couple fixes up two romantically challenged friends. When an evening calculated to bring happiness takes a dark turn, crisis and comedy ensue in this wickedly funny play that asks what we owe the people we love and the strangers who land on our doorstep.
