I think the American pine marten is the “cutest” of the weasel family, even though I have yet to see one down here south of the White Mountains. Some woodsmen claim to have seen some in the wilderness areas of the Sandwich Range, but I have not had that pleasure.

This creature is a solitary boreal forest dweller and presently still hard to find in the North Country by those concerned for its welfare.
