Chris Martin of New Hampshire Audubon has tracked the recovery of bald eagles around New Hampshire for a number of years, and now has very good news to report.

Martin works cooperatively with the N.H. Fish and Game and the feds and others in helping this big raptor species make a comeback. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service estimates that there were only 417 bald eagle breeding pairs in the Lower 48 states in 1963.
