JACKSON — Friends of the Jackson Public Library will be presenting Mount Washington Observatory’s Will Broussard with his book “Tales from the Home of the World’s Worst Weather” on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at the Jackson Public Library at 52 Main St. in Jackson. This program is part of the 13th annual One Book One Valley celebration.

Bitter cold, dense fog, heavy snow and record winds: Mount Washington is known worldwide for its unpredictable and dangerous weather. For a mountain its size, why is Mount Washington called the “Home of the World’s Worst Weather?”
