CONWAY — A little bit of teamwork and a lot of shoveling were the two prime ingredients for the Kennett High boys’ and girls’ cross-country ski teams to pull off a successful race in North Conway’s Whitaker Woods last Wednesday. The Eagles hosted eight teams from around the Granite State in a 5K classic race. For a few schools, this was their first race of the winter.
“It came out great,” said Steve Vosburgh, Eagles’ head coach, who started working on the course at 3 a.m., 12 hours before race time. “The course actually looked awesome. I think everyone had a great day. It was nice to be able to get in a race, finally.”
