The golfing community lost a true treasure when Tommy Mulkern died on March 14. The Bartlett resident packed a lot of living into his 88 years and was a beloved family man, a fantastic storyteller and quite the golfer. Many credit Tommy with helping them on their career paths in the sport. All agree they were better people for having him in their lives.

In 1976, Tommy and his amazing staff, with the help of Ernie Mallett, had a vision, rolled up their sleeves took on the task of turning, what at the time was a derelict golf course at the boarded-up Wentworth Hall, and worked tirelessly transforming Wentworth it into the fantastic golf club that it still is some 48 years later.
