Fryeburg Academy football fans shouldn’t sleep on the inside handoff. The Raiders have been using Merrick Iacozili for their inside handoff play. He scored a touchdown in the first two games. Anything Merrick can get on this play is a bonus. Short yardage or a bulldog run for 10 yards is great.

Let’s look at defense. When on defense, you look for what the other team is doing, then try to stop it. If a defense reads inside handoff, they fly to stop it. This leads to offensive options. When Cadillac Ty Boone is at quarterback, he runs what I call a QB counter. Just the word counter suggests deception.
