My title this week makes this sound like a wicked smart academic paper, eh? OK, maybe not. Regardless, I finally succumbed to the pressure (from myself, nobody else) and watched Brené Brown's "The Call to Courage" on Netflix. She offers a Cliffs Notes version of her book "Daring Greatly." Who knows? Maybe I'll even read the whole thing. You know, like an adult. Don't hold your breath.

I recognize that we, as humans, are innately social beings and tend to lean toward the pack mentality. I mean, why else would any sane, logical, thinking person venture within 100 miles of a shopping mall on Black Friday?
