I don't know about anyone else, but I am burnt out.
Maybe it's work. (Likely, especially for those in the service industry, am I right?) Maybe it's home life. (Also likely, with an endless to-do list and two dogs who *do not* enjoy sitting around) Just maybe it's the fact that the world is a dumpster fire. (The news is positively dizzying.) Or y'know, maybe it's just the humidity. Maybe I'm not so much burnt out as deeply lacking in motivation because the air feels like I'm breathing through a wet blanket.
Portland Phoenix | 15 Fairs and Festivals to Plan the Rest of Your Summer Around
Summer in Maine is beautiful ... but short. We don’t want to be a bummer, but the sun-soaked days are already starting to get shorter. Before you know it, people will start pulling out the flannel and drinking pumpkin spice lattes, and we sort of wanna put off as long as possible.
'Cuz until then, there’s still a good amount of summer fun to be had! We think it’s crucial to spend these fleeting moments outside, so we’ve compiled the best ways to do so in July and August in the forms of fairs, festivals, and outdoor events (like this weekend's 16th Annual Festival of Nations, previewed on page 15). There's festivals across this state happening every damn weekend! Get out there!
