The North Country Angler has a long history of fly tying. This caretaker of the franchise has made it a focus to be able to provide flies for fellow anglers no matter the design or the age of the fly pattern. Many of the old-school fly patterns are as effective today as when they were developed, but demand has dropped on older patterns in favor of the newer fly patterns.

It is not uncommon for anglers to walk through the shop doors with the name of an old school pattern in their mind and asking if we have the pattern in stock. When we don’t, we will custom tie the fly for the angler.
