To the editor:

The recent Bartlett School budget meeting was a repeat of last year — long, contentious and nothing was achieved. Even as JBES continues to decline with some of the lowest scores in the state, the board still does not take action. It instead ignores it and then ratchets down the budget to return a surplus every year. How can we make progress in this scenario? By focusing on leadership.
