CONWAY — Local fourth-graders got to re-enact ski history and travel back in time aboard the Conway Scenic Railroad from Conway to North Conway on Monday and Tuesday.
It was part of the New England Ski Museum’s fifth annual celebration of the arrival from Nazi custody in Germany on Feb. 11, 1939, of Austrian skimeister Hannes Schneider and family to come teach skiing at Cranmore and put the valley on the ski ma of North America.
