CONWAY — The healing power of the mountains is at play this week for an elite Air Force team of active duty airmen hiking the White Mountains during a wilderness retreat organized by the non-profit PJ Pararescue Foundation.
The seven members of the U.S. Air Force’s elite PJs (pararescuemen) arrived at the North Conway Grand Hotel on Monday and will be hiking the Presidential Range Aug. 21 through 24, returning to the North Conway Grand Friday, according to coordinator/PJs veteran Anthony Negron, 48, of Barrington.
