CONWAY — Residents of the Mount Washington Valley are invited to gather today at 4 p.m. in Schouler Park to mark the fifth anniversary of civil rights icon John Lewis’ death at age 80 and protest what organizers call a growing threat to civil liberties across the U.S.

The rally, hosted by the Mount Washington Valley Resistance, is part of a nationwide day of action. It will feature music and speakers from groups including Peace Action, Unity Works, and the North Country Immigrant Rights Coalition.
