OSSIPEE — A local controversy over swimming rights at a Connor Pond boat ramp came under a national spotlight this fall when it became a focal point of a recent episode of Animal Planet's "North Woods Law."

The reality TV series, which follows the work of New England fish and game officers, has focused on New Hampshire Fish and Game Department since its 2017 season, and features conservation officers, locations and issues familiar to residents of northern New Hampshire.
