FREEDOM — The Freedom Historical Society bustled with visitors for the May 21 reception celebrating the opening of its 2026 exhibit, "Summer Camps of Freedom," at the Margie Allard House and Barn.
With the occasional sounds of bugles and campfire songs in the background, visitors meandered between the displays highlighting the five active summer camps around town as well as 21 former camps, dating back as far as 1899.
