BARTLETT – Highlighted by a bit of horse logging in honor of late land benefactor Stoney Morrell, ground was broken Tuesday morning at the Bartlett Athletic and Recreation Association’s first phase of the planned five-phased Morrell Family Community Complex.

On hand at the site just off Route 302 in Bartlett were Annette Libby, director of the association; Selectmen Gene Chandler and Vicki Garland; Nancy Morrell (sister of Stoney, who was former general manager of Story Land and Heritage-NH); and site work contractor Buzz Coleman of A.J. Coleman & Son.
