CONWAY — When Kennett High School junior Amy Cotter took an independent study class with science teacher Lindsay Cole last September, little did she know that nine months later she’d represent the state in Pittsburgh on the largest high school science stage in the world.

Cotter, 17, daughter of Kris and John Cotter of Glen, was the first Eagle to compete in the New Hampshire Science and Engineering Expo in Concord i April.
