CONWAY — Fourth of July events are planned across the Mount Washington Valley and the surrounding area. Parades, live entertainment, a big race in Bridgton, Maine, and plenty of fireworks are all on tap beginning as early as this Saturday.

Conway’s annual Independence Day Parade will follow a familiar route through Conway Village on Tuesday, July 4, but due to the growth of the parade, it is scheduled to flow in a reverse direction this year, kicking off from the Conway Recreation Department at 1:30 p.m.
