LANCASTER — Some big names will be speaking at the 2023 Porcupine Freedom Festival (the annual PorcFest event run by the Free Staters) to be held June 19-25 at Roger’s Campground.
Among them are former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard and presidential candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democrat, and Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican.
I support RFK Jr’s decision to speak at the Porcfest event. He is right in choosing to speak to all the people and to look for areas of common ground that we can build on. Also, I have a hard time equating libertarianism with a “dystopian lifestyle.” That’s a laughable characterization. Just imagine the conversations: HE: “Hey, nice to meet you. What’s your lifestyle?” SHE: “Dystopian.” HE: “Cool. Want to come over and make metal sculptures out of burnt-out vehicles?” SHE: “Sorry, no. I’m being fitted for a new Kevlar vest, and after that I am heading to the dump for dinner.” I mean, seriously…
