CONCORD — A statue in honor of the late teacher and astronaut Christa McAuliffe, who died in the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion in January 1986 will be unveiled on the State House lawn in Concord on Monday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
“To see a hero like Christa McAuliffe memorialized in this way will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of students each time they visit the New Hampshire State House,” said Gov. Chris Sununu.
