From me in the Town of Eaton, I hope you all had a great holiday season and you were with family, friends and loved ones in a warm happy environment. We had 11 for Christmas dinner, and we enjoyed every minute. I just need to make a good “au jus” sauce. My column two weeks ago was in the paper, just under the Freedom Town Column title instead of Eaton. Hope you all caught it.
The Christmas Eve Service at our Little White Church in Eaton was full of laughter and song. While Ellen Schwindt played the piano beautifully, Tim Ostendorf and Mary Edes opened the evening with lovely music, and the audience chimed in with a few Christmas carols. My friend and neighbor Alana MacDonald sang a lovely tune “To Be a Star.” After that, her granddaughter Southern Quint perfectly played “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” on her flute.
